B.R.T. is an installation designed using a modular
construction method and serves as a platform for
artistic and cultural intervention in the HafenCity.

In its conception and organisation, B.R.T. mirrors
the contemporary discourse on artistic strategies
in public spaces. The central purpose of the instal-
lation is to facilitate the works of artists and
organisations from the Baltic Sea region, in cooperation
with artists and institutions from Hamburg.

This year, the project focuses on collaboration between
artists, groups, and organisations from Denmark,
Sweden, Norway, Finland
B.R.T. provides the necessary infrastructure and
organisation to attain this objective

B.R.T. also provides a programme of complementary
inter-disciplinary events - with contributions from
architecture, film and music. Furthermore, art and
and culture patrons, as well as academic institutions,
will be involved in the dialogue. With its emphasis
on guest collaborations, some of which are repetitions,
B.R.T seeks to consolidate strategies and concepts for
lasting cooperation.

The organisers will subsequently present a public
résumé at the HafenCity Tower. The results of given
assignments and the concluding works will be documented
and made available in video/DVD and catalogue form.
